Gujarat's new IT/ITes policy FY 2022-27 introduces incentives to encourage local talent-hiring by firms. The policy supports capital and operational expenses, aiming to make Gujarat a hub for technology innovation. The policy seeks to support capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures, allowing industries to plan their expenses and address viability concerns.

This initiative is expected to accelerate the presence of technology-related companies in GIFT City, making Gujarat a hub for innovation in emerging and advanced technologies. The policy incentivises the IT/ITeS industry, encompassing IT product development, software services, ITeS, call centres, BPO operations, IT-enabled banking, website services, revenue accounting, payroll processing, and more.
