Aatmanirbhar Gujarat scheme

Assisting MSMes and industries in Gujarat

The Industries and Mines Department of the Gujarat State Government recently introduced the Aatmanirbhar Gujarat scheme, effective from 5 October 2022. This scheme aims to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), large industries, and mega industries in Gujarat, fostering the development of new manufacturing sectors.

Under the scheme, eligible manufacturing units in Gujarat, categorised as MSMEs, large industries, and mega enterprises, can avail themselves of various incentives. Additionally, specified service sectors also have access to specific incentives. The scheme also includes a separate category for thrust sectors within the large and mega enterprise segments.

The scheme operates for five years, from 5 October 2022 to 4 October 2027. To be eligible, enterprises must commence commercial production within this period.
